Lake Erie Excursion
Port Clinton, Ohio serves as our base for this incredible 3-day excursion on Lake Erie. On Thursday, a motor coach will take us to see the Cedar Point lighthouse, to Ashtabula for tours of both the Maritime Museum and the pierhead light, and then to Erie, Pennsylvania to view the City’s three lighthouses and a wonderful dinner at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Friday we board the Jet Express IV, we will head out into the lake to view the lights at Sandusky Harbor, Marblehead, Huron Harbor and Lorain, where we will board a smaller shuttle boat to tour the Lorain Harbor lighthouse. We then pass the Cleveland lights before docking in downtown Cleveland where we will stay for the night. Saturday we return to the lake to obtain close-up views of the lights at Fairport Harbor, Conneaut and Ashtabula, before a high speed trip back along the lakeshore to Port Clinton for a gala dinner and our final night in Port Clinton.
