The lighthouse property as seen from the air around 1950. By this time, the building had been painted a cream color with green trim, however, the lantern box was still black. Note the octagonal cable storage structure among the trees, and the empty rolls of cable. This cable was used for supplying power to offshore lighthouses in the Straits area.
